The Youth Union of Phu Loi ward in TDM town has well organized activities taking care young workers’ lives during Tet.
With its geography bordering localities with industrial parks and compounds, Phu Loi ward has seen rapid increase in the number of young workers. Every time Tet approaches, there are thousands of young workers staying here for Tet. Together with the support of the Youth Union of TDM town, Phu Loi ward’s Party Committee and People’s Committee have instructed sectors and mass organizations to join hands to take care of young workers’ lives during Tet.

Loi ward’s Youth Union, most young workers who could not return homeland for
last Tet were those with hard circumstances. The whole ward is now home to more
than 4,000 youths, the majority of them are young workers at lodging facilities
with hard circumstances.
Beginning from Dec.28 of lunar calendar, Phu Loi ward held many entertainment activities for young workers. The ward’s “2011 Festive night for young workers” was organized at quarter 8 with the participation of representatives of 12 wards and communes.
This festive night took place animatedly with many attractive activities, including games, a karaoke singing contest, a flower arrangement contest…The ward’s Youth Union also donated VND2mln to Ho Dinh Quyet, a worker just suffering from workplace accident; teamed up with TDM town’s Youth Union to present 35 gifts worth VND300,000 each to heads of sub-unions for young workers and workers with hard circumstances.
Nguyen Hong Nhung, Secretary of TDM town’s Youth Union said that TDM town had tens of thousand alien workers staying here for this Tet. Noticeably, TDM town’s Youth Union this Tet cooperated with its affiliates to implement a pilot program “Bringing alien workers to policy beneficiary families to enjoy Tet together”…
