Upholding the teachings of President Ho Chi Minh for medical officers, local physicians have overcome challenges to take care for the patients.

Devotion to the career

It is relatively unfair to evaluate the matters of medical ethics by a certain random shortcomings of the sector recently reflected on the mass media as many medical officers are devoting to better services for the patients.

As a medical officer experienced at emergency department of Binh Duong Provincial General Hospital, Physician Thai Thanh Van, now working for Department of Health, said: “Emergency department is where we receive patients at the hanging of life and death. Thus, our ethics and profession directly affect their lives. I have been working with co-workers in the field to help patients through their life-risking situations. The care we offer is very important for them to recover as long as we consider our patients as our own relatives.”

All for the patients

Physicians are considered as those of silent sacrifices for the chosen career. Ms. Trinh Ngoc To Nhi, a nurse of Dau Tieng Medical Center, is one of the bright model of medical ethics and advancement. Born in 1980 in Dau Tieng, Nhi keeps to herself the promises o servicing patients at her best. She has been honored by 2 merit certificates of Binh Duong Provincial People’s Committee and various merit certificates from Department of Health with 4 conscecutive years as soldier of emulation movements.

A mental patient is being taken care of attentively

Many have retold their stories about sacrifices for working in departments of tubeculosis, infectious diseases and mentality of the hospital. The measle outbreak in 2014 has put the physicians and patients on edge; however, the physicians bore the risks of infection to help the patients.

In whatever circumstances, the physicians should be highly responsible for helping people by their utmost efforts in the career. Practice should be upheld to be worthy of the career tradition and nobility of physicians under expectation of President Ho Chi Minh.
