Nguyen Van Loi, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation, Head of provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control made the statement in his working visit to representatives of lodging facilities in Thuan An city’s Binh Chuan ward on the afternoon of August 13. Accordingly, he assigned the People's Committee of Thuan An city to soon have a plan to connect enterprises with the owners of lodging facilities in Binh Chuan ward to negotiate and sign contracts for long-term cooperation related to accommodation issues for workers.
In order to prepare for the reopening of production and business activities for enterprises based in the province, provincial leaders have regularly organized working visits to the People's Committees of districts, towns, cities, infrastructure investment units, enterprises and owners of lodging facilities to find out optimal solutions to ensure safe production in the new normal situation. After discussing, provincial leaders decided to organize a pilot program of "green lodging facilities" combined with "green factories" to implement the "1 road, 2 destinations" production model in the new normal conditions.
To successfully organize this model, provincial leaders have assigned Thuan An city’s People's Committee to act as a bridge connecting enterprises with the owners of lodging facilities to negotiate and sign long-term rental contracts in the direction of each lodging facility being only hired by one enterprise and 100% of tenants at the lodging facility working for the same enterprise. This direction is considered to help reduce the risk of pandemic transmission at lodging facilities and factories while helping relevant sides achieve certain benefits. Specifically, the local authorities will better manage epidemiological factors. Enterprises ensure long-term human resources. Meanwhile, lodging facilities are always full with long-term commitments and employees will be taken better care of, given priority to get vaccinated against Covid-19 earlier and have more stable jobs than before.
Nguyen Thanh Tam, Chairman of Thuan An city’s People's Committee said that the city will soon connect enterprises with the owners of lodging facilities to set up "green lodging facilities" in the next week. The city will also try to excel at zoning and controlling the pandemic to achieve the goal of allowing enterprises to resume production after August 31.
