On April 25 at the provincial department of Trade and Industry, a delegation of the provincial People’s Council’s Economic-Budget Commission paid an inspection on implementing planning on market, trade center and supermarket network development till 2020.
As reported by the provincial department of Trade and Industry, after 2 years of launching planning on market, trade center and supermarket network development, the provincial administration has thus far eliminated 2 markets, invested and upgraded and newly built 15 markets, totaling local markets, supermarkets and trade centers up to 95, 11 and 5, respectively.
Overall, construction of markets, supermarkets and trade centers has well met local people’s demand on shopping. However, development of markets, supermarkets and trace centers is still slow compared with planning.
Addressing the inspection meeting, a rep of the provincial Economic-Budget Commission noted that the provincial department of Trade and Industry should specify locations of constructing markets, supermarkets and trade centers in conformity with local requirements of socio-economic growth and customers’ demand as well as goods distribution network. Moreover, the department needs to pay attention to traffic order and safety as well as urban beauty at locations of building markets, supermarkets and trade centers.
