Factory workers, after intense working hours, need places for health training and entertainment; however, such places are not much presented.

In 9 consecutive years, the month for Vietnamese factory workers has been endorsed by grassroots labor union of Thong Dung Shoes Co. Ltd. In Thuan An Town in male and female football tournaments. For this year, the tournament includes 20 male teams and 10 female teams to offer good event of entertainment. Mr. Nguyen Van Tien, the company worker, said: “On daily basis, we are so attentive to the production line and it’s rather rare for us to join up such event; thus, we are so eager to be there. Hopefully, the Company would create more events for us to be engaged. The upcoming tournament not only inspires unity and work devotion but also improves cultural and spiritual life of us.”
Nearly 3,000 factory workers of Nitto Denko Co. Ltd. are serviced by various free cultural and sports activities. Mr. Do Quang Trung, Chair of the grassroots labor union informed that the Company has built up sports complex for volleyball and in-door football and library. Annually, the company organizes traditional sports festival of 22 sports categories and shows supported by various other enterprises. More practically, Nitto Denko, annually, fixes 21 days off for factory workers to enjoy resting and holidays.

“I am so satisfied as the company creates plenty playground for us. Being relaxed and encouraged by well-off life we are more promoted to drive the company forward,” said Dinh Thi Lanh as a factory worker of the company.
Spiritual life improved
Aside from robust treatments towards factory workers and labor unions of enterprises, Binh Duong Provincial authority has also paid attention to construction of cultural and sports institutions to satisfy the needs of attendance and improvement of spiritual life of all class people and the workers. Accordingly, cultural and sports centers across communes and wards have made frequent visual propaganda and encouragement including activities of art performances, sports, introduction of books, newspapers, and photography to service local political duties. Besides, some centers have robustly coordinated with agencies and unions to combine the related activities, contests, and shows. Various clubs have also been established to service the public. In 5 years, over 3,000 turns of agencies, units, and enterprises have organized activities, shows, and sports games for the workers to meet and relax after working hours.
According to Mr. Tran Thanh Liem, member of Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee standing board and Deputy Chair of Binh Duong Provincial People’s Committee, efforts have been made by Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism as well as local people’s committees to create good environment for culture and sports activities
Many enterprises and economic units have effectively coordinated with functional agencies and localities to sponsor cultural and arts performances as well as sports games. They have also been engaged in multi billion constructions of institutions including Complex of Culture and Sports of Dau Tieng Rubber Corporation, Phuoc Hoa Rubber Corporation, My Phuoc Theatre, Thanh Le Theme Park, My Phuoc courts of football and tennis, community sports centers, etc.
Apparently, the creation of such playgrounds has contributed to orientation of recreation of the workers and mitigates social evils. Thus, it is urgent for functional agencies to guide and administer thorough and intense measures to improve cultural contacts and improvement of cultural and spiritual life for working people residing at industrial clusters and parks.
