Covering 6,400 square meters with a 3,000-seat capacity, My Phuoc Theater is one of cultural institutions invested by Becamex IDC with nearly VND15billion. This is seen as an interesting recreational place for workers after a hard-working week.

My Phuoc Theater is always crowded with workers
In terms of sports, Becamex IDC has so far constructed a complex of 6 football grounds and maintained the organization of the annual Sports Festival for My Phuoc industrial parks at the complex.
Many other businesses in the province, namely Dau Tieng One-Member Co.Ltd., Phuoc Hoa Rubber Joint Stock Co., Water and Environment Joint Stock Co.,…have also spent tens of billions of dong on building cultural-sports institutions for locals and workers.
In TDM city, Di An, Thuan An and Ben Cat towns, many organizations and individuals have invested in sports works like mini-football grounds with artificial grass to serve those who have passion with football. They are also material facilities for the organization of mini-football tournaments by enterprises and trade union locals. Currently, the whole province now has around such 400 mini-football grounds.
In addition, the province is also home to 5 cinemas, 8 bookstores, “singing together” clubs together with karaoke bars to serve the demand for entertainment of locals, comprising of workers.
Setting up appropriate playgrounds
Province-based units and businesses have also mapped out their own plans to be able to effectively use cultural and sports facilities invested by them.
Along with presenting new films on wide screen, My Phuoc Theater has diversified its activities by organizing music nights with special items performed by famous singers, trade fairs, festivals…Or, with the support of Di An town’s Center for Culture-Information and Sports, Hai Lam mini-football ground has just successfully held the open Hai Lam football tournament. Huynh Ngoc Hai, the owner of the min-football ground said: “We will organize many other tournaments, bringing useful playgrounds to young workers”.
In addition to serving people and workers’ demand for entertainment, private cultural-sports institutions have also actively supported many localities in the province in organizing cultural-sports contests.
Nguyen Thi Minh Nghia, Deputy Director of provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that the province’s socialization of building recreational areas has been realized with positive results. With such useful playgrounds, people and workers will be optimistic and healthy in order to further study and work, contributing to building up a more prosperous and civilized Binh Duong homeland.
