The PM said he highly appreciates the positive relationship between Vietnam and the UN, as well as the operations of UN organisations in the country. He called on the UN to continue supporting Vietnam in the fields of science and technology development, innovation, just energy transition, green economy, and in accelerating progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

He affirmed that Vietnam is a responsible member of the UN and asked for the UN's continued support for the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)’s centrality in the regional architecture. Vietnam stands ready to play an active role in efforts to seek solutions to peace, stability, and prosperity in the Asia-Pacific.

For her part, the UN deputy secretary-general praised Vietnam's leading role in the green transition, demonstrated by the successful organisation of the P4G Summit. She expressed her admiration for Vietnam’s rapid development and active participation in UN forums and peacekeeping missions.

Welcoming the positive development of Vietnam–UN relations and thanking Vietnam for being among the pioneers in supporting the One UN Initiative, Mohammed shared that the bloc hopes to continue receiving support from member states for its central role in addressing global challenges.

She affirmed that the UN will continue to prioritise investment in technology, artificial intelligence, climate change response, funding for green growth, and the development of sustainable agriculture systems to meet the SDGs on time. She also pledged to actively work with partners to implement multiple projects in Vietnam under the framework of the Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETP).

On this occasion, PM Chinh extended his regards to UN Secretary-General António Guterres and invited him to soon visit Vietnam again./.
