PM Pham Minh Chinh: Sharing good experience, valuable lessons for successful digital transformation needed

*Binh Duong leads in online public services

On the afternoon of February 6, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired the 10th meeting of the National Committee on Digital Transformation and the 2024 review of Project No.06 at the headquarters of the Government. The session aimed at summarizing achievements and outlining key directions and tasks for 2025. The event was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh and leaders of ministries and central sectors. Vo Van Minh, Vice Secretary of provincial Party Committee and Chairman of provincial People’s Committee, along with leaders of provincial departments and agencies, were present at the Binh Duong meeting point.

According to the Ministry of Information and Communications, in 2024, national digital transformation—especially the implementation of Project No. 06—achieved significant progress. Key highlights included more experienced leadership and administration, as well as decisive and coordinated execution from central to local levels. In 2024, the National Assembly enacted the Data Law while the Government issued 14 decrees. Ministries also introduced 33 circulars under their authority and 898 out of 1,084 administrative procedures designated for simplification were streamlined under the Government’s resolutions…

At the review conference, Binh Duong was announced as the leading province among 63 localities nationwide in online public services, with a timely processing rate of 98.01%. In the 2023 Digital Transformation Index (DTI), Binh Duong ranked 7th nationwide, placing 5th in digital infrastructure, 7th in digital government operations and 9th in digital workforce development.

Speaking at the conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh directed the implementation of comprehensive measures to enhance the effectiveness and practicality of national digital transformation. He emphasized the acceleration of digital transformation across various sectors while ensuring the decisive execution of the Project No.06 from central to local levels, fostering public and business support and laying a strong foundation for expanding online public services. The Prime Minister also urged ministries, sectors and localities to share good practices, valuable lessons and innovative approaches in leadership, administration and execution. Key areas of focus include digital infrastructure development, online public service delivery, national database expansion, data connectivity and integration, big data formation, human resource training and development…, thereby clearly defining key tasks and breakthrough solutions for accelerated progress in the coming period.
