After ten years of implementing the PM’s Decision No.1956 on the Project giving vocation training for rural laborers to 2020 (briefly called the Project), Phu Giao district has focused on instructing sectors, departments, localities to drastically take solutions. This has helped enhance the rate of rural laborers trained, contributing to making the shift of the local agricultural and rural structure; enhancing people’s faith in the Party and State’s policies and guidelines.
Results done
Over the past time, the Project absorbed the participation of units, namely provincial Job Placement Center, Binh Duong Junior College of Trade Union Skill and Technology; Phuoc Hoa Rubber Joint Stock Company; Binh Duong Agro-Forestry Junior College; Phu Giao district’s Continuing Education-Vocational Training Center…
Phu Giao district gives training on sewing for rural laborers
As a locality in the northern region of the province with large land fund for agricultural development, Phu Giao district has bent on training skills of tending rubber trees and tapping their latex; growing ornamental plants, organic vegetables…The district has also attached special importance to training non-agricultural skills such as forklift truck driving, cooking for party, household sewing, make-up… at the local requirements for socio-economic development.
After ten years of implementing the Project, the district organized 98 vocational training classes for rural laborers. There were 2,484 laborers trained with more than 85% of them getting jobs. Thus, giving vocational training for rural laborers brought practical efficiency to the local process of industrialization and modernization in association with new-style rural construction…
Tran Hong Dung, Vice-Chairwoman of Phu Giao district’s People’s Committee said that after ten-year implementation of the Project, the district’s rate of rural laborers getting jobs reached the set target. The quality of rural laborers in the district was improved considerably. The district’s vocational training for rural laborers helped many laborers get jobs, improving their lives.
Locality’s own policies
Under the Project from 2010 to 2020, Phu Giao district’s People’s Committee conducted the district’s Division of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, Division of Economics to coordinate with sectors, mass organizations to be proactive to recheck people’s demand for learning skills in order to have timely plans on vocational training. The district’s sectors and mass organization also disseminated contents relating to vocational training, the Party and State’s preferential policies on vocational training for rural laborers…
Based on the Action Program of the local Party Committee, the Resolution of the local People’s Council, People’s Committee, the district promulgated plans on vocational training for rural laborers, instructed relevant sectors to assign each commune, township targets for effective implementation.
Possibly speaking, the district’s vocational training for rural laborers over the past time reached considerable results, contributing to improving workmanship of laborers in general and of rural ones in particular. This helped laborers herein select skills in line with their capacity, upholding all things learnt for application in production, ensuring jobs with stable income, contributing to the local socio-economic development.
