In recent years, Dau Tieng district has experienced positive changes due to the effective implementation of Project 02-DA/TU by the Provincial Party Standing Committee. This project focuses on “Mass mobilization work to build a cultural and civilized lifestyle in the province for the period 2021-2025.” With a spirit of solidarity and unity among the Party Committee, the government, and the people, many rural areas in the district have transformed their appearance, embracing civilization, cleanliness, and beauty, the quality of community life hence has gradually improved.

Join hands to upgrade our homeland
In Dau Tieng town, the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" has been implemented in a synchronized and wide-ranging manner. Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the town, along with various mass organizations, has actively promoted and mobilized officials, union members, and residents to participate in activities aimed at preserving environmental sanitation, beautifying the landscape, and establishing model neighborhoods.
One highlight of this initiative is the formation and ongoing operation of eight self-managed environmental protection groups in residential areas. This program not only fosters community engagement but also plays a significant role in preserving the living environment. Numerous practical activities have been carried out, such as cleaning streets, planting flowers along roadways, installing security cameras, and creating national flag streets, contributing to the development of "bright, green, clean, and beautiful" streets.
The success of Dau Tieng District in fostering a cultural and civilized lifestyle does not stem from large projects or massive investments, but rather from simple, familiar actions that reflect the local community's values. When mass mobilization efforts are conducted effectively, people begin to understand their roles and responsibilities in building their homeland. This awareness is crucial for developing a sustainable cultural and civilized lifestyle. |
Party Cell of Ward 6 serves as a prime example of efforts to change people’s awareness and actions in cultivating a civilized cultural lifestyle. Ms. Mai Thi Hong Hoa, Party Secretary of Ward 6, noted that the ward has successfully mobilized efforts to create a flag street with 220 pillars and initiated "Civilized Saturdays," which saw enthusiastic participation from the community. Streets like 20-8, Bau Sen, Bau Rong, DH709 etc. have gradually transformed with vibrant flowers, becoming more organized and pleasant.
Beyond the town, many communes of Dau Tieng district have made significant strides in implementing Project 02. For instance, Long Tho hamlet in Long Hoa commune has organized 38 environmental clean-up campaigns, attracting over 1,500 participants. Residents have actively contributed land, labor, and funds to improve rural transportation infrastructure. Concrete roads, enhanced lighting, and security cameras are gradually replacing older paths, illustrating the positive changes driven by community awareness.
Cong Queo hamlet in Long Tan Commune is another noteworthy example. The "Civilized Saturday" movement is consistently maintained, becoming a regular routine for both officials and residents. Due to a common consensus on social mobilization, most roads in the hamlet have been concreted, and many now feature national flags and security camera systems. The kilometer-long flower-lined roads not only beautify the countryside but also reflect local people's love for their homeland.
In Tan Thanh hamlet of Minh Tan commune, the spirit of volunteerism and solidarity continues to thrive. Residents come together to clean and plant flowers along local roads. Notably, a lighting road of over 1.3 kilometers in length has been established through cooperative efforts between the State and the people, clearly demonstrating the effectiveness of mass mobilization initiatives.
The power of unity
Project 02 extends beyond the residential community to include every school and agency, with Minh Thanh Kindergarten serving as a prime example. Ms. Le Thi Van, the school's principal, shared, “Every month, the staff and teachers organize ‘Civilized Saturday,’ during which they plant flowers, trees, and fruit trees, as well as clean vegetable gardens on the school grounds. Creating a ‘green, clean, beautiful, and safe’ learning environment not only enhances children's ability to study but also instills a love for nature and an awareness of the importance of protecting the environment through even the smallest actions.

Through the implementation of Project 02, it is clear that Dau Tieng's countryside has transformed from images of dusty dirt roads and run-down residential areas to streets adorned with flags, blooming flowers, bright lights, and a strong sense of community. This transformation vividly demonstrates the power of consensus and the effectiveness of mass mobilization when it aligns with practical needs and places people at the center.
Dau Tieng District is gradually realizing its goal of building a cultural and civilized lifestyle through practical actions driven by its citizens' hearts and hands. This grassroots approach is what has fostered sustainable prosperity for this land, rich in tradition.
