Precious legacy

In an antique home at Thanh Phuoc Town of Tan Uyen District, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Bui, born in 1945, retold us the stories of helping soldiers from the North in resistance war in .the South hide from the enemies. She has experienced revolutionary activities, production for the resistance war and been a mother to 6 children of high achievements. Her family is well-known in Thanh Phuoc. A brave mother Born into a family of revolutionary tradition, and inheriting performance talents from parents, she was selected to performing team at the age of 14 to service the revolutionary cause of the resistance war. Mrs. Bui is telling stories to her grandchildren through the old pictures She retold with sentiments and pride of the 20-member team to service shows to the public at nights and soldiers in the mornings. The applauses had been very encouraging for the team to make greatest efforts in bid to comforts the public and encourage the soldiers to fight. Aside from the performing, she took over the role of liaison to send mails and necessary materials to and pro revolutionary bases. She recalled the close escape from a raid on her work taking express mail from Phuoc Thanh (now Thanh Phuoc) to Vinh Tan and the time her family covering up revolutionists from the enemies. Thanh Phuoc became a shelter to soldiers preparing forces for general uprising. Devotion to children Talking about Mrs. Bui, people show respect as her six children have their positions in the society with high achievements. Getting married in 1962, she has given birth to her children in the days of hardship. She had to make ends meet aside from her secret operations. Mrs. Bui Thi Ly, born in 1964, one of her children, said that her mother had to cover every family work and teach them about life, patriotism as well as encouragement for learning. Bui said that her only fortune was knowledge as they failed to attend school during wartime. In peacetime, she was devoted to supporting of her children learning and schooling. Mrs. Bui Thanh Hong, born in 1977 recalled her hardship learning in Saigon and her mother’s encouragement through little foods given to her every time home. Thus, Bui’s efforts became fruitful as her children have achieved in their career and become rich. Currently, her first son, Bui Van Tam, born in 1962, is the tribunal president of Tan Uyen Town People’s Committee. Her daughter Bui Thi Ly, born in 1964, is Economic Manager of Tan Uyen Town. Her son, Bui Thanh Phong, born in 1971, is working at Thanh Phuoc Port. Her daughter, Bui Thanh Thuy, born in 1974, is Economic Manager of Vinasuki. Her daughter, Bui Thanh Hong, born in 1977, is Manager of Sadaco. And, her last child, Bui Thanh Hoa, born in 1981, is working for Becamex IDC. Bidding farewell to family of Mrs. Bui, we still hear her smile of happiness. Her contributions to the nation have been appreciated by the State in medals; however, the utmost joy of a mother is to see her children achieve in life and her grandchildren grow to piety and good learning.
