To promote role, function of labor union in taking care of laborers’ material and spiritual life on the coming Tet holiday, the provincial Labor Union has steered its branches to set out plans of taking care of laborers’ Tet holiday.
Specifically, labor union at all levels will cooperate with employers to hold activities of welcoming Tet on thriftiness, happiness and safety; solve drastically wage, year-end bonus, yearly leave; map out detailed plans of Tet holiday and take care of laborers’ material and spiritual life; work actively with functional agencies to timely solve workers’ problems to minimize maximum labor disputes and strikes. In addition, labor union at all levels will work with authorities at all levels to pay gift visits to privileged and poor families, labor accident-hit workers and needy laborers.
What detailed instructions are set out to take care of laborers on the coming Tet holiday, sir?
Along with assigning tasks for higher levels, the provincial labor union also steers grassroot levels to well implement 2 tasks such as asking employers to soon inform Tet holiday schedule, wage adjustment, year-end bonus and relevant policies for laborers.
Simultaneously, trade unions at all levels will cooperate with employers to help employees buy train and bus tickets for family reunion on the upcoming Tet holiday as well as offer bus to pick up workers to workplace after Tet holiday. Besides, grassroot trade unions need to hold gift visits to needy laborers who enjoy Tet away from home.
What big activities will be focused to take care of laborers’ Tet holiday?
The first significant activity is the very Spring buses. This program will be held to take about 1,220 trade unionists and laborers coming from Phu Yen and the Northern provinces to come back their hometown for Tet and take them back for jobs.
In addition, the provincial Labor Union suggests to grant 6,000 gift packages to needy laborers who must stay for Tet away from home. Especially, the provincial Labor Union will cooperate with the provincial department of Culture, Sport and Tourism to organize cultural and artistic activities in service for laborers.
