Early Mar.2, Tran Van Nam, Member of the Party Central Committee (PCC), Secretary of provincial Party Committee (PC) had a meeting with press agencies in the province. Attending the event were Le Huu Phuoc, Head of provincial Commission for Propaganda and Education together with representatives of provincial Department of Information and Communications.
The whole province now has 8 press agencies, in which Binh Duong Newspaper and Binh Duong Radio-Television Station are two organs of provincial Party Committee, the voice of the Party, government and people of the province. According to provincial Commission for Propaganda and Education, the activities of press agencies in the province reached positive changes during the past time. They have always closely followed the views and guidelines of the Party, the propaganda orientations of central agencies and provincial Commission for Propaganda and Education; well realized their functions as the organ of the Party, State, socio-economic organizations and also as the forum of people.
Addressing the meeting, Mr.Nam spoke highly of the efforts by the local press agencies over the past time while wanting that they will speed up propaganda work in the fields of industrial-services development, new-style rural construction in association with urbanization…with a goal of developing Binh Duong into a centrally-controlled municipality by 2020. He also suggested the local press agencies to focus on introducing exemplary role-models in all aspects; make journalistic works with high social criticism, helping the province have timely adjustment of the local socio-economic development policies; build up competent managerial, editorial and reportorial staff at requirements in the new context; be flexible and creative to excellently fulfill entrusted tasks.
