Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DoARD) has just promulgated a program on the implementation of activities to protect customers’ rights and interests for the period of 2018-2020.
The main objectives of the program are to build a healthy environment for customers, organizations, individuals trading in commodities and services; stabilize and improve the local economy. The program also aims to raise the role and responsibility of relevant units in dealing with customers’ petitions on food safety; boost cooperation between units under provincial DoARD, social organizations, individuals producing, trading in commodities and services and customers. In addition, provincial DoARD will team up with relevant units to engage activities in protecting customers’ rights and interests through propaganda work while opportunely handling cases that may cause the situation of unsafe food.
For the program effectively implemented, provincial DoARD will coordinate with relevant units to take part in expos at home and abroad; organize 3-6 seminars on protecting customers’ rights-interests in cultivation and quality management; carry out inspection tours under the plan of provincial Steering Board for Food Safety in implementing the annual Action Month for Food Safety; inspect the use of Acepromazine in pigs at slaughter houses; make inspection and grant certifications to facilities meeting conditions on food safety…
