On April 23, the conference summarizing 50 years of Literature and Arts of Binh Duong province after the country's reunification will be held at Provincial Convention and Exhibition Center. Delegations of provincial leaders visited artists who significantly contributed to the preservation and promotion of local culture and art in preparation for this event. This is an activity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

Warm meetings
From April 19 to 21, 2025, provincial delegations visited, presented gifts and expressed gratitude to outstanding artists who have devoted their lives to Binh Duong art. Not only are they meetings, but each visit is also an opportunity for artists to share and for provincial leaders to listen to sincere contributions to preserving Binh Duong's cultural identity through each stage of development.
One of the most touching moments occurred when musician Nguyen Hong, a native of Central Vietnam residing in Di An City, performed a song about the city in the warm atmosphere of the gathering. "Being able to sing among dedicated leaders and cultural workers is a happiness that is difficult to express in words. I hope that music and culture will always be nurtured and respected, just like today," shared songwriter Nguyen Hong.
Equally moved was Meritorious Artist Le Duc Cang, known by his stage name Huy Thanh, who has been involved in amateur music for over half a century. He expressed, “I am genuinely touched by the sincere concern shown by the provincial leaders. For an artist, being heard and recognized brings profound happiness. For many artists, preserving traditional music is not only a passion but also a mission.”
Meanwhile, Artist Nguyen Chi Chanh, who has dedicated many years to painting lacquer artworks in Binh Duong, hopes the province will expand its support programs for young artists. He suggests implementing creative camps and exchange exhibitions to provide young talents with more opportunities to showcase their skills. “Binh Duong has its own unique identity. Each piece of art tells a story about the people and the land,” he stated.
The meetings scheduled for April coincide with the nationwide celebration of the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification, highlighting the strong bond between the government and artists. According to Mr. Bui Minh Tri, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee, the artworks created by artists represent not only cultural achievements but also embody the spirit, character, and soul of the people of Binh Duong—qualities characterized by persistence, creativity, and a strong sense of identity.
Inspiration and elevation
To evaluate and celebrate the achievements of literature and arts in Binh Duong province, 50 years after the country's reunification and nearly 30 years of development, a conference was held on April 23 at the Provincial Conference and Exhibition Center. This conference aimed to summarize the literature and arts landscape in Binh Duong.

The event is expected to host 300 artists and 50 guest delegates. It will feature presentations from representatives of Provincial Literature and Arts Association, as well as researchers, managers in the field, and various artists. The conference will also showcase and commend notable literary and artistic works created since reunification, honoring those authors and groups who have made significant contributions to literary and artistic activities in Binh Duong over the past 50 years.
Through this event, provincial leaders aim to enhance the awareness and responsibilities of Party committees, authorities, and organizations regarding literature and art. Additionally, it serves as a platform to encourage and inspire artists to continue showcasing their talent, creativity, and unity, producing works of high ideological and artistic value.
The conference also underscores Binh Duong province's commitment to cultivating a culture that is both advanced and steeped in national identity, contributing actively to the nation's development in this new era. Those involved in culture and the arts will persist as pioneers, preserving identity, enriching spiritual life, and disseminating profound human values throughout society.
“The provincial leaders greatly value the significant contributions that artists have made to the development of culture and the arts in the province. We hope that you will continue to create and inspire love for Binh Duong through your artistic expressions about its land and people."
