In recent years, the Ben Cat Industrial Zones Trade Union has launched many patriotic emulation movements among union members and workers. In particular, the work of building advanced models and replicating technical innovation models has created a widespread and effective effect.
Improve workers' lives
Currently, in Ben Cat City, there are 8 industrial parks (IPs) in operation, with a total area of 4,106 hectares, attracting 524 investment enterprises. Up to now, the Ben Cat IPs Trade Union is directly managing 434 grassroots trade unions with 128,774 union members.
Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, Chairman of the Ben Cat Industrial Park Union, said that in order to better care for workers' lives, the unit coordinates with businesses and grassroots unions to grasp the labor and employment situation to regulate; implement housing care; focus resources on caring for and supporting workers in difficult circumstances, especially during holidays and Tet. "When we take good care of workers' lives, they will stick with their jobs for a long time, creating economic efficiency for businesses and localities," said Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh.
Thanks to the implementation of good job review, in 2024, the Ben Cat Industrial Parks Trade Union in collaboration with Investment Service Consulting Joint Stock Company (ISC) and the Provincial Center for Supporting Youth Workers and Young Workers created jobs for more than 6,000 workers. The average income of workers is from 7.6 to 8 million VND/month. In the first quarter of 2025, the unit continued to create new stable jobs for more than 5,000 workers, with a fairly high income, ensuring good production and business for many enterprises.
In annual activities, the Ben Cat Industrial Park Trade Union actively guides the grassroots trade union to coordinate with the Board of Directors of enterprises to organize labor conferences, dialogues at the workplace, and negotiate and sign collective labor agreements that are beneficial to workers. Consulting on policies, laws, and conciliation of labor disputes are also carefully resolved, contributing to strengthening the trust of workers in the trade union organization. On average, each year, the unit presents more than 12,500 gifts to union members, workers, and union officials who are poor, disadvantaged, far from home, unable to return home for Tet, have work-related accidents, or have serious illnesses, with a total amount of more than 10 billion VND.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, Chairman of the Ben Cat Industrial Zones Trade Union, the patriotic emulation movement among union members and workers in Ben Cat City has achieved good results, but there is still much to do. That is, to continue to promote and bring the movement "Good workers, creative workers" to enterprises more effectively. Initiatives and creativity of workers not only help enterprises develop the economy effectively but also help workers increase their income and stabilize their jobs. The unit continues to propose specific activities for workers to strive to study, practice, improve their professional skills, and be ready to access new knowledge and technology to promote creativity and diligence, contributing significantly to the locality's overall achievements in socio-economic development. |
Many racing activities to the finish line
Besides taking care of workers' lives, in the past 5 years, the patriotic emulation movement among union members and workers organized and launched by the Ben Cat Industrial Park Union has had changes and achieved encouraging results.
Specifically, every quarter and every month, the unit organizes and guides its grassroots unions to implement emulation movements on each topic in accordance with the direction of the superior union and the actual situation of the unit. Thereby, the grassroots unions closely follow the tasks and actual situation of each enterprise, regularly innovate the form, content, and measures to organize emulation movements. The grassroots unions have focused on building examples of "Good people, good deeds", typical advanced examples in labor production, work and union activities. Organize exchanges of sports movements, exchange experiences, introduce good practices, effective and creative models in patriotic emulation movements to learn, draw lessons and replicate.
Up to now, in Ben Cat city, 28 enterprises are building houses for officials and workers with 4,426 rooms, providing more than 5,000 places to stay for workers. For workers with difficult circumstances, they are provided with free accommodation, only paying for electricity and water each month. |
In the past 5 years, employees at affiliated units have had over 500 initiatives and experiences in labor and production, which have been highly appreciated by enterprises and widely applied in practice, with the value of benefits for enterprises reaching billions of VND. Typically, at Dat Hoa Plastic Company Limited, Nutifood Nutrition Food Joint Stock Company, King Jim Vietnam Company Limited, Vina Kraft Paper Company Limited, Duy Tan Plastic Company Limited, Clear Water Metal Joint Stock Company, Orient Company Limited... there are always many good initiatives every year.
Through the emulation movement, 178 individuals were awarded certificates of merit for "Excellent workers, creative workers" by the Provincial People's Committee; the Provincial Labor Federation awarded 26 comprehensive emulation flags, awarded certificates of merit to 269 collectives and 745 individuals; the Industrial Parks Trade Union awarded certificates of merit to 687 collectives and 3,245 individuals.
