Promoting tourism from sports

During the recent holiday, many sports activities were organized, attracting thousands of participants. These activities also contributed to promoting the local image and fostering the local tourism sector.

At the "Cung duong nhung hang dau” (Road of the dipterocarpus alatus trees) race organized by Thu Dau Mot city on the morning of September 1, over 2,500 runners competed in three main distances: 3 km, 5 km, and 10 km. After more than an hour of competition, most athletes completed their distances. The event created an exciting and competitive atmosphere in celebration of the National Day.

Meanwhile, the 2024 traditional boat race of Thu Dau Mot city brought together nine strong teams across the province to compete on National Day, September 2. The section of the Saigon River going through Bach Dang park in Thu Dau Mot city’s Phu Cuong ward, is a familiar venue for strong rowers and boat teams in the province.

As a man with many years of experience in sports in Binh Duong and who participated in various sports events in the province, Le Hoai Phuong Nam, Head of the Event Organization and Competition Department under provincial Center for Sports Training and Competition shared his excitement: “It was truly wonderful. I hope there will be more enjoyable and meaningful events like this in the future”.
