The fight against HIV/AIDS should never end; propaganda and education ảe the most effective ways to inform the disease risks. Schools are also the places for teachers to carry out such propaganda. Attending the talk about propaganda and education of HIV/AIDS fight of teachers and students of Tan Binh Senior High School of Tan Uyen Town, we believe that the talk is the best way of propaganda and education.
AVEC language center is handing scholarship to students of Tan Binh Senior High School at the extracurricular talk on propaganda and education against HIV/AIDS.
The effects of extracurricular talks are great for the students as they are at the growing ages and curiosity. Particularly, the pre-marriage consultancy on December 1 every year for adolescence is especially important to prevent HIV/AIDS.
For the year, the faculty of Chemistry, Biology, and Biotechnology of Tan Binh Senior High School has been actively organizing the workshop of propaganda nad education of HIV/AIDS fight and prevention to Grade 8 and Grade 9 students. The extracurricular meeting was attended by Nguyen Thi Thuy Minh, the Head of Communication Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention Center of the province in friendly talks.
At the workshop, information about action month against HIV/AIDS in Vietnam has been supplied targeting for 90-90-90 objectives to end AIDS infection in Vietnam. Nguyen Thi Thuy Minh elaborated the major figures of 90% of infected people know about their status; 90% of people diagnosed as HIV infected will be treated by ARV; and, 90% of people under ARV treatment can control the virus volume to stay healthy and reduce transmission risks.
She has also additionally informed of commitments in Vietnam to the world that no people will become newly infected by HIV; no people die of AIDS; and no discrimination exist. Accordingly, she supplied additional information to the student about the disease of no vaccination, making propaganda as the only way to prevent the spread. After the talks of experts were the active plays to offer more understanding about HIV/AIDS.
To add more treats to the extracurricular activities, Pham Duc Nhan, the head of faculty of Chemistry, Biology, and Agriculture technology of the school has invited AVEC to join the talks in English. At the event, AVEC offered scholarship packages of VND 22 million to the school students.
