Province actively propagandizes traffic safety among workers

Over the past years, provincial Trade Unions at all levels paid more attention to propagandizing traffic safety among workers, contributing to creating their active change on traffic safety to minimize traffic accidents.

Propaganda improved

Nguyen Hoang Bao Tran, Vice-Chairwoman of provincial Labor Union said that over the past time, provincial Labor Union and its branches actively implemented a joint program between the Vietnam General Federation of Labor and the National Traffic Safety Committee on further promoting propaganda and mobilization of traffic order and safety among laborers, contributing to stabilizing the local traffic safety and social order-safety. During the 2014-2018 period, they also organized 3,100 propaganda shows with the participation of nearly 335,000 Youth Union members and workers.

Workers are guided how to drive safely

Over the past two years, provincial Labor Union diversified propaganda activities on traffic safety among workers. Particularly, they effectively applied social networks like Facebook, Zalo…in education and dissemination of the State’s law, comprising of the Law on Road Traffic among workers.

Provincial Labour Union also attached special importance to organizing tests and granting driving licenses of type A1 to workers. Since 2014, Binh Duong Junior College of Trade Union skills and Technology coordinated with relevant units to give training for more than 12,000 workers. Trade Unions at all levels of the province also teamed up with Honda, Yamaha…to guide workers how to drive safely, offer helmets to them and buy motorbikes with preferential price for them…

Awareness of traffic safety enhanced

Possibly seeing, the above efforts by trade unions at all levels of the province have contributed to improving workers’ awareness of the implementation of the Law on Road Traffic to minimize traffic accidents. Nguyen Van Van, a worker of Shyang Hung Cheng Co.Ltd. in Thuan An town said that he was disseminated the Law on Traffic Road, thereby contributing to improving his awareness of traffic safety.

Thanks to propaganda work well realized, workers across the province have been more aware of ensuring traffic safety in recent two years. Mrs.Tran said that provincial Labor Union will strengthen dissemination of information about the Law on Road Traffic in areas crowded with workers. Trade Unions at all levels, units and enterprises in the province will also tighten control over labor management, boost propaganda activities on traffic safety among workers so that they will be more aware of traffic safety. For workers, they also need to improve their awareness of traffic safety to protect themselves.
