Province continues well controlling pandemic to recover production and business

On the afternoon of September 30, the inspection teams of provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control, led by Mai Hung Dung, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee and Nguyen Loc Ha, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee had a meeting with Tan Uyen town and Bau Bang district’s Steering Committees for Covid-19 Prevention and Control to inspect the local Covid-19 prevention and control before returning to the "new normal" state.

Safe production guaranteed

Reporting to the inspection team of provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control, Doan Hong Tuoi, Chairman of Tan Uyen town’s People's Committee, Permanent Deputy Head of the town’s Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control said that as of September 30 afternoon, the town had 8 “green” communes and wards, 3 "yellow " localities, 1 "orange” ward. Implementing its plan to bring healthcare closer to people and enterprises, the town has so far established 26 mobile medical stations in all 12 communes and wards with 96 staff; 16 stations in enterprises and 3 stations in industrial parks and compounds with 181 staff. According to the plan, the town will deploy to establish mobile medical stations in all industrial parks and compounds for public healthcare, Covid-19 prevention and control.

The local functional forces check information of people at a checkpoint on Highway 13 in the direction from Thu Dau Mot city to Thuan An city.

Also according to Doan Hong Tuoi, the demand for workers applying to companies to work under the "3 on-site" production model has increased significantly. Some have the need to return to their hometowns. Communes and wards in the town have regularly controlled and strictly managed the movement of people to ensure social distancing. The town has only allowed essential business establishments to reopen, but must ensure strict implementation of regulations on Covid-19 prevention and control.

Tan Uyen town has had 1,000 enterprises registering to implement the "3 on-site” production model with more than 86,000 employees. In the spirit of "production must be safe, safe to be produced", the town has set up inspection delegations for "3-on-site" enterprises to grasp their operational situation as well as supervising their implementation of Covid-19 prevention and control; guide them to coordinate with private medical facilities and mobile medical stations to implement Covid-19 prevention and control; request them not to allow workers to leave when there are not enough conditions.

At the meeting, Mr. Dung spoke highly the efforts by Tan Uyen town in controlling the pandemic, especially narrowing the "red zones", greening the risk zones. He noted that in order to recover the local socio-economic activities, the town needs to further maintain Covid-19 prevention and control, well conduct testing to separate F0 cases from the community and administer the second shot of Covid-19 vaccine for  people when receiving vaccines distributed by the province.

The town also needs to strengthen propaganda so that people can feel secure to stay in their places of residence, being ready to return to work; disseminate a plan on the 2nd shot vaccination among people while paying attention to ensuring social welfare.

Focusing on eradicating "red spots"

Nguyen Loc Ha and members of the inspection team were informed by Bau Bang district’s Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control that Lai Uyen still has "yellow spots" in the "green zone". The district is continuing conducting testing to separate F0 cases from the community every 1,3 and 5  days in the "yellow spots". The district has also established 8 mobile medical stations and is mobilizing doctors and nurses at the grassroots level to focus human resources on Covid-19 treatment areas to replace the retreating support groups.

The inspection teams of provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control request localities to continue well implementing social welfare policies and taking care of people's lives. In picture: Cadres of Khanh Binh ward in Tan Uyen town distribute necessities to people

Vo Thanh Giau, Chairman of Bau Bang district’s People's Committee, Deputy Head of the district’s Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control said that in the current situation, the province needs to supplement human resources for the district’s medical sector, especially doctors, nurses and volunteers to participate in supporting and treating Covid-19 patients at the local treatment facilities; supplement equipment, specialized vehicles and personnel for mobile health stations and allocate vaccines for the district to deploy the 2nd shot injection for people. The province also needs to issue specific guidance documents in the appraisal of "green lodging facilities" in the "3 green" model for enterprises in accordance with regulations.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Ha suggested that Bau Bang district should continue drastically implementing measures against the pandemic and mobilize all resources on eradicating the remaining "yellow spots" so that the district turns green completely. The district’s Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control needs to consolidate and improve the capacity and material resources of the local mobile medical stations to ensure effectiveness in Covid-19 prevention and control in the new context. He also asked for the district to continue strengthening control over the pandemic in the "new context", especially organizations and enterprises in the district are in the spirit of not being subjective, ignoring in the fight against the pandemic.

Mr. Dung said that the province will implement a plan narrowing quarantine areas. Therefore, the establishment of mobile medical stations in localities will play an important role to the results of Covid-19 prevention-control and treatment for Covid-19 patients in the coming time.
