Provincial Sponsoring Association for the Disabled, Orphans and Poor Patients yesterday organized its second congress for the 2013 and 2017 tenure.
The association’s executive board reached the unanimity on further implementing 6 support programs for the disabled, orphans and poor patients. Accordingly, the association will provide free medical check-ups, medicine and gifts for 4,000 poor people; offer eye surgery for 65 blind people with difficulties, build 8 houses of compassion for the disabled, orphans and poor patients; present 35 wheelchairs to the disabled; introduce jobs to 20 disabled people and poor patients, award 150 scholarships and 100 bicycles to orphans.
In the last tenure, the association made a lot of practical and timely support activities for the disabled, orphans and poor patients, contributing to improving their lives and helping them integrate into the community. Particularly, the association visited and presented gifts to 28,752 turns of people, provided free medical check-ups and medicine for 2,159 turns of people, presented nearly 200 wheelchairs…with a total expense of tens of billions of dong.
