Early October 11, Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee cum Chairman of provincial People’s Committee presided over a meeting on overseeing the implementation of preferential policies for the local revolutionary contributors.
The province has so far realized preferential policies for 60,400 revolutionary contributors. Along with the central and local State budget, the province also actively mobilized many other resources to take care of revolutionary contributors over the past time, ensuring more than 99% of them with living standards that are equal or higher than the average levels of locals. For many consecutive years, communes, wards and townships in the province maintained the title of “unit excels at taking care of war invalids, families of martyrs and revolutionary contributors”.
The annual central and local State budget for revolutionary contributors is estimated at more than VND275billion. Over the past nine months, provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs also received and dealt with more than 3.900 documents enjoying preferential policies from revolutionary contributors; provided revolutionary contributors with monthly allowances of more than VND109billion and gave 52 saving books of VND100million for them…
