Provincial Sports Gifted School held a mid-Autumn festival for more than 250 pupils on the evening of September 14.
At the festival, they had a chance to enjoy art performance items from provincial Traditional Art Troupe, take part in a lantern parade around provincial Stadium and a contest lantern. First, second, third and consolidation prizes of the lantern contest were awarded to pupils belonging to the sports of athletics, Karatedo, traditional martial art and cycling, respectively
*Also on the evening of September 14, Thuan An town’s People’s Committee in collaboration with the town’s Youth Union held the 2016 mid-Autumn festival for the local children.
At the festival, participating children were heard President Tran Quang Dai’s congratulatory letter on the occasion of this year’s mid-Autumn festival; enjoyed special art performance items and took part in a lantern parade. The town’s People’s Committee also presented 3,000 gifts to the local children.
It is known that on this occasion, the town’s People’s Committee gave nearly 700 gifts worth VND230,000 each for disadvantaged children and donated VND24million to 4 social support centers in the town.
*The People’s Committee of Hiep An ward in TDM city also organized a mid-Autumn festive night for 950 children on the evening of September 14.
The festive night took place very animatedly with special art performance items and fun-filled games. On this occasion, the People’s Committee of the ward also presented prizes to 10 out of 34 lanterns participating in the local contest for beautiful lanterns; gave 5 gifts worth VND250,000 each for children with extremely difficult circumstances, 950 gifts worth VND65,000 each for those participating in the festival.
