Early August 8, Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee cum Chairman of provincial People’s Committee and Vice-Chairpersons of provincial People’s Committee together with representatives of relevant agencies heard a report on preparatory work for the 2016-2017 new academic year by provincial Department of Education and Training (DoET).

In the new academic year, the whole province is expected to have a total of 377,650 pupils at all levels, up 29,593 compared to the previous academic year, mostly in Thuan An and Di An towns. Provincial DoET has mobilized existing personnels and recruited additional 1,039 new personnels, basically meeting the local real demand for teaching. There will be 12 schools put into use in the new academic year. In general, schools and classrooms in the province have been built and upgraded very urgently for the new academic year.
At the working session, Mr.Liem instructed provincial DoET and relevant agencies to deliberate and give priority to constructing schools in localities with rapid increase in the number of pupils; be flexible in personnel work; have reasonable solutions for the receipt of pupils who are the offspring of immigrant laborers; focus on improving the quality of education in the new academic year. Provincial People’s Committee will also consider and put forward appropriate solutions to suggestions of the department.
