Everyone is busy to prepare for the traditional Lunar New Year (Tet) festival while Binh Duong Urban Work One-Member Co.Ltd’s sanitation workers are hurrying to tidy up streets…
As planned, 158 workers of the company’s sanitation-water drainage squad will actively work on the days near Tet, from Jan.28 to Feb5, 2011 (Dec.28, 2010 to Jan.3, 2011 of the lunar calendar). They will focus on tidying up streets in inner town, around markets and new city… It is expected that the amount of waste this Tet will be higher than that of the previous years, so the company’s sanitation-water drainage squad will work both day and night so that there will be nice and clean streets after the lunar New Year’s Eve.

Sanitation workers actively tidy up streets to welcome Tet
Company director Nguyen Van Tri said that in addition to sanitation staff, the company has mobilized 16 garbage trucks with tonnage of 2, 5,8 and 12 and many other kinks of sanitation trucks to be able to fulfill the sanitation work in the soonest time.
So far, the company’s verdure squad has fulfilled implementation of whitewash on 8,000 green trees and 4,000 electric posts. It is known that the company has planned to focus on five main items for urban rejuvenation to welcome Tet, mostly in town park, Phu Cuong park and six-way crossroads. The company has grown 120sqm of fresh flower, 36,000 grass covers and 4,000 various ornamental trees to make a new and strange face for Binh Duong to welcome Tet.
Such these apart, the company has made efforts in equipping the lighting systems and installing a panel of “Happy new year” at the gateway to inner-town. So far, the company has installed 6,686 sets of lighting and decorative lamps and 12 systems of traffic lamps…
Company director Nguyen Van Tri has also just announced with company workers that Le Thanh Cung, chairman of provincial People’s Committee has decided to give the bonus of VND2mln for each worker participating in the sanitation work during Tet. This is one of the province’s efforts in taking care of the lives of sanitation workers.
