Early October 12, provincial People’s Committee held a ceremony to celebrate the 55th anniversary of Fire Police Forces’ traditional day (October 4, 1961-October 4, 2016), the 15th anniversary of Fire Prevention Day (October 4, 2001-October 4, 2016), and the 5th anniversary of establishment of provincial Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Department, in attendance of senior lieutenant general Pham Dung, Deputy Minister of Public Security; Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee cum Chairman of provincial People’s Committee.

At the ceremony, delegates reviewed the history and development of fire fighting prevention police forces during the past 55 years as well as the five-year development of provincial Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Department. So far, the apparatus of organization and equipment of the local fighting prevention police forces have been strengthened, contributing to ensuring the local order and security.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr.Liem spoke highly of achievements done by the local fire fighting-prevention police forces over the past time; simultaneously asked for them to well realize their advisory function in order to effectively implement the Law on Fire Fighting and Prevention, strengthen inspection tours of main facilities and localities as stipulated, further consolidate their apparatus of organization, improving personnel quality.
On this occasion, 62 individuals and 13 collectives were also awarded the certificates of merit of the Ministry of Public Security, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee and Director of provincial Fire Fighting-Prevention Police Department for their excellent performance in the emulation movement of “For national security”.
