Provincial Women’s Union, on October 18, held a get-together to mark the 83rd anniversary of Vietnam Women’s Union (October 20, 1930-October 20, 2013) and the 3rd anniversary of Vietnamese Women’s Day (October 20, 2010 and October 20, 2013).
At the get-together, participating women reviewed the glorious traditions of Vietnamese women in the cause of national construction and defence; highlighted the role of Vietnamese women in the current integration period. Women in Binh Duong over time upheld the heroic, indomitable, generous, and responsible spirit of Vietnamese women; actively study, work and strive to improve their qualifications in all aspects at requirements in the new context.
So far, there have been 54% of female State employees with university education and above. Provincial Women’s Union has also promoted the emulation movement of “Women actively study, creatively work and build up happy families” in association with the campaigns of “Studying and following late President Ho Chi Minh’s exemplary morals” and “Building up families with “five noughts and three cleans”. Many local women have risen up and gained achievements in production and business, affirming their role in family and society.
On this occasion, provincial Women’s Union also honored 83 women who gained achievements in production, business and actively got involved in social charity activities over the past time.
