Early October 20, provincial Women’s Union held a ceremony to mark the 86th anniversary of Vietnam Women’s Union (October 20, 1930-October 20, 2016) and the 6th anniversary of Vietnam Women’s Day (October 20, 2010-October 20, 2016).
Attending the ceremony were Dang Minh Hung, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee, Head of provincial Board for the Advancement of Women; female leaders of sectors, mass organizations together with leaders of Women’s Unions at all levels of the province.
Over the past time, provincial Women’s Unions at all levels constantly improved their operational contents and forms, aiming to build up a more and more powerful organization with qualified staff. They also successfully carried out the emulation movement of “Women actively study, creatively work and build up happy families” in association with the campaign of “Building up families with 5 Nos and 3 cleans”. Especially, the local women’s awareness of the responsibility for hunger eradication and poverty reduction was raised via activities of the “Saving Day for the Poor”, “the Group of Women with Credit-Saving”, helping each other rise up out of poverty and enrich themselves legitimately. The province also effectively implemented vocational training and job creation for the local women.
Addressing the ceremony, Mr.Hung acknowledged great contributions by the local women and praised accomplishments done by provincial Women’s Unions at all levels over the past time. He also wanted that provincial Women’s Unions at all levels will continue realizing the Resolution of the 10th provincial Women’s Union Congress for the 2016-2021 tenure; strengthen solidarity and gather women of all strata , especially female workers…
On this occasion, provincial Women’s Association awarded the “Female Talents” Fund Award 2016 to 2 collectives and 3 individuals with excellent achievements in study, culture-sports…
