Provincial Center for Reproductive Health Care is organizing vaccination against Covid-19 for pregnant women from 13 weeks or more.
Doctor Duong Thanh Hien, Director of provincial Center for Reproductive Health Care said that after being allocated vaccines against Covid-19 from provincial Department of Health, the center has deployed vaccination for pregnant women from 13 weeks or more. The demand for Covid-19 vaccination among pregnant women is very great, so they need to follow the registration process for examination and vaccination against Covid-19 under the center's guidance steps in order to get vaccined in accordance the QR code, aiming to avoid mass gatherings.
Those who have successfully registered for examination at the center will receive a message about specific schedule of antenatal care and vaccination against Covid-19. Every day, the center only examines and give vaccination for 160-200 pregnant women. For pregnant women with underlying diseases, multiple pregnancy, IVF will be vaccinated with Pfizer vaccine while the remaining cases will receive AstraZeneca vaccine.
Along with the center, provincial General Hospital is also administering Covid-19 vaccines to women from 13 weeks or more or those breastfeeding their babies. Accordingly, the hospital organized vaccination on August 26 and 27. After that, if there are any Covid-19 vaccines, the unit will continuing conducting vaccination during office hours.
For cases introduced by medical facilities or vaccination sites in the province to provincial General Hospital for vaccination, they must have referal letters or screening forms with the request of transfering to the hospital. These papers are signed and stamped by the above medical facilities and vaccination sites.
