at all levels of Binh Duong have paid more attention to the lives of workers,
especially female ones via many significant programs, including presenting Tet
gifts, selling commodities with discount, providing free medical check-ups and
medicine…All have contributed to bringing more joy to female workers herein.

Dang Thi Mong Huyen, Vice-Chairwoman of provincial Women’s Union said that under the province’s Project of “Uniting and gathering young workers in the 2011 and 2015 period”, provincial Women’s Union has over time teamed up with provincial Youth Union to organize many meaningful activities to take care of female workers’ lives. Particularly, they held joyful market-days, sold commodities with discount, provided free medical check-ups and medicine, created jobs, presenting Tet gifts to needy members…, absorbing involvement of more than 10,000 female workers.
In addition, provincial Women’s Union coordinated with relevant agencies to issue 5,000 handbooks for young workers, more than 6,000 books on Binh Duong’s women and 9,600 books on special subjects for sub-unions for female workers at lodging facilities. Provincial Women’s Union and its affiliates also organized the 2013 Week for Young Workers with a lot of substantial activities in response to the Month for Young Workers.
On this occasion, 14 female workers were awarded VND14mln from provincial Support Fund for Alien Young Workers. Provincial Women’s Union and its affiliates also suggested to honor one collective and one individual for their good performance in the 2013 task of uniting and gathering young workers.
Di An town’s Women’s Union also held the 2013 festival for young workers with many fun-filled and useful activities, including a program on selling goods with discount, a free make-up program, a consultative program on reproductive health and other issues pertaining to labor deal, health insurance, social insurance, unemployment insurance…
Le Thi Tu, a worker of Lan Hanh Garment Company said: “Coming to the festival, I like to receive health advice and buy goods with discount. All activities during the festival are very useful. The festival has actually brought a healthy and useful playground to women at the local lodging facilities”.
Whilst, Thuan An town’s Women’s Union over time paid attention to the lives of female workers via many significant activities, including a singing competition for women and a program to honor outstanding female workers. There were 50 female workers herein honored for their active contributions to the local Women’s Unions.
Vo Thi Hong Thao, a worker of Hankook Vina EMB Company said that she felt very happy when participating in the local Women’s Union. And she will mobilize many other alien women to get involved in the local Women’s Union and actively respond to movements launched by the organization.
According to Mrs.Huyen, provincial Women’s Union always realizes the importance of taking care for the lives of workers, especially female ones. That’s reason why provincial Women’s Union will further create favorable conditions for the local female workers’ development, ensuring their legitimate rights and interests in the coming time. Since early 2013, the province has set up 33 sub-unions for female workers at lodging facilities with 1,223 members. The figure has brought the total number of such sub-unions to 578 with around 18,000 members.
