After 15 year-implementation of the 5th Party Central Committee meeting resolution (term VIII) on “Building and developing an advanced Vietnam’s culture deeply imbued with national identity”, the province’s cultural-sports and tourism sector has made practical contributions to the cultural and social life of the local people.
The sector over time had a close coordination with provincial Fatherland Front Committee to implement the campaign “The entire people consolidate to build cultural life in residential areas”, contributing to promoting the local socio-economic development. There were 78,974 households recognized as cultural households in 1998 or 60.79% of total; 195,409 recognized as cultural households in 2011 or 91.09% of total; 118 quarters and hamlets winning the title of “cultural quarters and hamlets” in 1998 or 29.5% of total and 221 with the title of “cultural quarters and hamlets” in 2011 or 37.77% of total, etc.
In 2013, the sector will further take specific measures to uphold achievements done over the past time, including making dissemination of information about the 5th Party Central Committee meeting resolution (term VIII) on “Building and developing an advanced Vietnam’s culture deeply imbued with national identity”. The sector will also upgrade cultural institutions from provincial to grassroots level in a synchronous way.
