In just over a week, the 2024 Ripe Fruit Season Festival will officially open to welcome people and tourists. In order for service activities at this year's festival to take place on schedule, organizing units have been proactive in preparations.
Diverse activities
According to the plan, this year's Ripe Fruit Season Festival will take place from June 15 to 22 in Cau Ngang area (Hung Dinh ward, Thuan An city). To prepare for this festival, in recent days, units and localities have carried out many activities according to assigned plans to ensure progress so that the festival would take place thoughtfully and make beautiful images in everyone's hearts.
The cross-country running named "Road of ripe fruit season" continues to be held and attracts a large number of participants.
Pham Dac Hien, Chairman of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association, said that during this festival, the Provincial Culture and Arts Association will participate in two activities: exhibition of art photos and organization of a Photo Marathon contest of the ripe fruit season with the theme "Colors of the homeland". According to Mr. Hien, all work is well prepared by the association and just waiting for the opening day.

Accordingly, to serve the art photo exhibition, up to now, the Provincial Culture and Arts Association has received more than 350 photos sent by professional and non-professional authors inside and outside the province. The Association will invite members who are Vietnamese photography artists to select about 70 quality photos, ensuring the required contents for display during the Ripe Fruit Season Festival this year.
To create a more lively and fresh atmosphere for this year's festival, in addition to the photo exhibition, the Provincial Culture and Arts Association will also hold a Photo Marathon contest of the ripe fruit season. This is a quick photo competition (only takes place from 6:00 a.m. of June 15 to 6:00 a.m. of June 17) to promote the image of fruit orchards in the province and Lai Thieu orchards among tourists. Based on the submitted works, the jury will conduct quick judging to select 11 winning works (1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes and 5 consolation prizes) to be displayed in the art photo exhibition area at the festival.

Meanwhile, Nguyen Duc Minh, Director of the Provincial Tourism Promotion Center, said that in this year's festival space, the center was assigned by the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to coordinate with units to hold the "Exhibition of beautiful tourism photos - tourism promotion of Binh Duong province". At this moment, preparations for this photo exhibition have been completed, is waiting for the opening day. In addition to available photo sources, the center also coordinates with the Binh Duong Tourism Photo and Media Club to select beautiful photos to introduce to visitors during the festival. The center has also invited tourism businesses and handicraft establishments in the province to participate in introducing and promoting the images, services, and typical products of the province to customers.
Good preparation
According to Nguyen Thi Hien, Vice Chairwoman of Thuan An City People's Committee, for the Ripe Fruit Season Festival in 2024, the City People's Committee established 5 groups to serve the festival, including: communications team, logistics team, security and order team, price management - food safety team, medical team and volunteer team. In addition, Thuan An City leveled the 1.5 hectare vacant land to hand over the Festival Organizing Committee for the organization of activities. The local government also worked with the waste collection units to agree on works to ensure environmental sanitation. City police are coordinating to develop a plan to ensure security and order and traffic flow during the festival. The medical center has also developed a plan to arrange medical and emergency teams at the festival area. Relevant sectors set up hotlines on security and order, food safety and hygiene, and prices to be put into operation on June 15.
In addition to the above jobs, Thuan An City is also diligently preparing all aspects for other activities of the festival, such as: contest "Charming Binh Duong", cross-country running "Orchard Road", amateur folk music festival, and street music performances. As for the cross-country running "Road in the ripe fruit season", up to now, 2,800 people have registered for the competition.
All preparations to serve the opening day of the festival are being urgently carried out by units and localities. With this preparation and diverse activities taking place during the festival, it promises to bring the provincial people and tourists exciting and jubilant days.
