Early October 23, provincial People’s Committee held a conference to review the ten-year implementation of the Population Ordinance in the 2003 and 2013 period.
The province’s indexes on population reached a positive change after ten years of implementing the ordinance. Particularly, the rate of women giving birth to a third child reduced to 4.6% from 5%. Addressing the conference, provincial People’s Committee Vice-Chairman Huynh Van Nhi acknowledged and praised achievements done by staff who are in charge of the local population and family planning work over the past ten years while saying that they would be a premise for the province to get better results for population and family planning work in the following years.
