How has the province’s Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign 2014 been prepared?
The province’s Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign 2014 will be launched from June 1 to September 5, 2014. It will focus on 8 main contents: “Urban civilization”, “New rural construction”, “Green environment”, “Volunteer for community’s health”, “Giving strength in exam season-Giving strength to school”, “Volunteer white shirt”, “Towards national sea, islands”, “Volunteer trip to Dien Bien Phu”, “International volunteer”.
2014 is selected as the Volunteer Youth Year by the Central Committee of the Youth Union. Could you tell us about the new features of this year’s summer youth volunteer campaign?
During the summer youth volunteer campaign 2014, provincial Youth Federation will cooperate with provincial Young Entrepreneurs Association, Dau Tieng Rubber One-Member Co.Ltd. ‘s Youth Union and Lai Chau province’s Youth Union to organize a “Back to the root” trip to Dien Bien Phu. Provincial Youth Federation will also hold a volunteer campaign in Phu Quy island district in the central province of Binh Thuan with many significant activities, including providing free medical check-ups, medicine and gifts for young fishermen, pupils and soldiers.
In addition, provincial Youth Federation will join hands with the Vietnam – South Korea Cultural Exchange Center to support delegations of physicians from South Korea to provide free dental check-up and treatment for poor children, workers and gratitude families across the province; team up with Dau Tieng Rubber One-Member Co.Ltd. and Phuoc Hoa Rubber Joint Stock Co. to get involved in volunteer activities in Laos and Cambodia.
This year, the province’s volunteer youth squads will get involved in volunteer activities in TDM city, Thuan An town, North Tan Uyen district…They will also come to Dong Thap, Kien Giang, Tay Ninh, Dac Nong and Lai Chau for volunteer activities.
