On the evening of October 13, provincial Association of Women Entrepreneurs held a get-together to mark Vietnam Entrepreneurs’ Day, October 13 and review its activities in 2018, in attendance of Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee.
At the get-together, members of the association reviewed the tradition of Vietnam Entrepreneurs’ Day; reported on the result of the association’s activities in 2018. The association now has a total of around 100 members. In 2018, although economy facing difficulties, members of the association still maintained and developed their production-business activities, contributing to generating jobs for nearly 7,000 laborers. They also spent more than VND2.1billion on such social charity activities as building houses of compassion for poor women, taking care of orphans and the disabled, funding the construction of bridges, streets in poor communes in the Mekong Delta region…
On this occasion, the association launched a program raising money for its charity fund. Members of the association also registered to contributing VND1.8billion to the fund.
