Members of the provincial Businesswomen Club have targeted to help the unlucky as much as possible. They plan to build one charity house every quarter. At present, they granted 14 charity houses worth VND270mil to the unlucky.
To grant gifts and houses to people who are really poor, the club’s members directly checked and surveyed building works. Truong Thi Kien Trinh, a member of this club said we hoped that our assistance would be a lifebuoy for poor women.
With the assistance of the businesswomen, many unlucky women have escaped difficult circumstances. To say, Mrs.Nguyen Thi Tai’s family in Hiep An ward now enjoys a warm house funded by Mrs. Tang Thi Cuc, general director of Dai Hong Phu Ltd. Cuc shared ‘I hope to help poor sisters partly’.
Lastly, at the summing up conference of its activities 2009, the club’s members continued extending the movements of building charity houses for poor women, granting scholarship to disadvantaged students…
The movements have won great response from members. Specifically, they registered to build 10 houses worth over VND200mil and to grant scholarships worth VND160mil to poor students and son on. Mrs. Tran Thi My Han registered to donate VND10mil to An Son Center for lonely old people.
Mrs. Vu Kieu Nu, head of the club said ‘this is an unexpected success of the club’s executive board. Members have made greater efforts to help the poor. We are very glad to share difficulties with the poor’.
In 2009, the club donated over VND57mil to help the poor, built 14 charity houses worth VND270mil for poor women. Moreover, the club sisters presented more than VND1bil to localities where their headquarters are located. In 2010, the club will spend a sum of VND400mil for social activities.
