Late October 10, provincial Businesswomen’s Association held a get-together to celebrate Vietnam Entrepreneurs’ Day (October 13) and review its activities in 2014. Attending the event was Vo Van Minh, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee.
Provincial Businesswomen’s Association now has 61 members, including the owners of enterprises operating in the province. Along with business activities, they have actively got involved in such social charity activities as taking care of policy beneficiaries, poor households, children with difficult circumstances…in and out of the province.
Since early this year, the association has built 15 houses of compassion for the poor; awarded scholarships, notebooks and books to poor pupils; funded construction of 3 rural bridges with a total value of more thanVND1.4bln. On this occasion, the association also launched the 2015 social charity movement with nearly VND1bln raised from its members.
Addressing the meeting, Mr.Minh spoke highly of contributions by provincial Businesswomen’s Association over the past time while saying that provincial leaders will always accompany members of the association and share difficulties with them.
