Each compassionate heart adds wings to a dream
The program “Each compassionate heart adds wings to a dream” a meaningful program of provincial Children Sponsoring Fund with the aim to mobilize social resources to support regularly disadvantaged children. Launched from the beginning of 2014, the program has attracted the participation of many companies. In 2014, enterprises gave long-term support to 15 children with a total amount of nearly VND180 million. During the first 6 months of 2015, companies continued to support 17 children with an annual support of VND12 million/child, total amount of VND204 million. Mr. Le Quang Chanh, Deputy General Director of Binh Duong Lottery, said, with the motto “All for poor children”, helping children to go to school, the company frequently visits, gives gifts, scholarships to disadvantaged children inside and outside the province.

Provincial Children Sponsoring Fund and benefactors gave supporting money to Nguyen Thanh Hai (Phu Loi ward, TDM City) under the program “Each compassionate heart adds wings to a dream”.
Nguyen Thi Lan Anh living An Binh ward, Di An town with her father and her sister. Her mother passed away. To cheer her father, she tried to study well and achieved excellent learning results in 8 consecutive years. Lan Anh said: “Sometimes I feel sad while seeing my friends picked up by their parents. But then I think I am lucky, because of the love of many persons for me, especially, the support from provincial Children Sponsoring Fund. I promise to study well to become a useful person”. Pupil Nguyen Dong Thanh (born in 2003, living in Chanh My ward, TDM City) of Nguyen Van Cu secondary school is having a serious disease. Binh Duong Lottery presented VND12 million to Thanh for treatment and studying.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Trinh, Director of provincial Children Sponsoring Fund, the program “Each compassionate heart adds wings to a dream” has been a bridge between benefactors and disadvantaged children to add wings to their dreams.
Taking care of children
In order to care for children having difficult circumstances, such as: disabled, Agent Orange children, orphans, children with dangerous diseases…, provincial Children Sponsoring Fund has carried out many effective, practical activities. The organization has been really a mainstay of disadvantaged children. In 2014, the fund mobilized over VND7.4 billion; during the first 6 months of 2015, VND2.6 billion.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Trinh said, from this funding, in the last 6 months, there were 3,936 children supported with a total amount of more than VND3.2 billion. Namely, the fund gave gifts to 1,938 children during the program “The 8th spring with disadvantaged children 2015”, on International Children's Day; districts, towns and city presented 8,841 gifts worth VND406 million; gave cardiac surgery to 17 children; extraordinary support for 5 children with a total budget of nearly VND20 million; conferred scholarship on 123 children…
The fund also repaired playground for children at Tan Hung commune, Bau Bang district; renovated children playground at Thanh Hoi commune, Tan Hiep commune, Tan Uyen town, and Long Nguyen commune, Bau Bang district with total expense of VND175 million.
In the future, the fund will continue to mobilize contributions from many sources to perform many meaningful programs, such as: cardiac surgery, scholarship offering, extraordinary support for disadvantaged children, visiting, giving gifts, organizing activities for children in rural areas…
In addition, provincial Children Sponsoring Fund will continue to enhance propaganda of policies and laws among households and children; strengthen relationships with agencies, businesses and individuals to mobilize contributions to support disadvantaged children.
