On August 3, Nguyen Khoa Hai, Director of provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, signed a document submitted to Provincial People's Committee for consideration of the decision on suspending a number of activities in the province.
According to the document: Currently there are 6 provinces and cities that have people infected by coronavirus, and some localities like: Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Quang Nam, Phu Yen, Dong Nai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Dong Thap, Tay Ninh, Dak Lak, Gia Lai and Ho Chi Minh have stopped some activities gathering many people to limit Covid-19 infection. Before the new development of the Covid-19, to effectively implement preventive measures, reduce the infection and spread of the virus, and to ensure safety in the Covid-19 prevention and control in the province, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism submitted to the Provincial People's Committee to consider and issue a directive document to suspend festive activities, sports competitions, events gathering crowded people in public places, stadiums and unnecessary big events; temporarily suspend the operation of non-essential services and business establishments, such as: Bars, karaoke, discos, arts performance; monuments, scenic places, sports and physical training units, etc., must implement measures to propagate and prevent epidemic, take measures to ensure safety, fight against epidemic, such as to equip medical materials to wash hands and disinfect facilities; require travel companies not to organize tours to provinces and cities, like: In Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai and some other provinces and cities as notified by the Ministry of Health, localities have reported cases of Covid-19 infection.
Tourist accommodation establishments, tourist resorts and areas need to instruct tourists to make medical declaration according to the guidance of Ministry of Health and implement prevention measures; frequently wash hands with antiseptic solution, wear face mask and measure body temperature; strengthen the management of hotel guests, especially guests coming from or passing through provinces and cities such as: Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai and some other provinces and cities notified by the Ministry of Health; particularly, foreign visitors must ensure all documents certified by Vietnamese competent agencies according to regulations.
