Excellent individuals receive merit certificates.
On Oct. 3, the provincial Farmers’ Society held the summing up ceremony of the 7th movement of good farmers in production and business for the period of 2012-2014. Attending the ceremony were Nguyen Huu Tu, vice secretary of the provincial party committee, Huynh Van Nhi, chairman of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee and more than 400 typical members.
Over the past 3 years, the local Farmers’ Society at all levels spurred the work on disseminating and launching the movement with the participation of 105,661 farmer households. As a result, there were 66,226 households winning the title of good farmers in production and business, winning 62.6% from the total registered families.
In addition, the entire province has more than 1,000 farmsteads with the total area of 11,423ha, 24 cooperatives, 254 agricultural teams. The movement helps 2,676 farmer families escape poverty, contributing to reduce rate of poor households by 0.69% in the end of 2013.
Addressing the summing up conference, Nguyen Huu Tu, vice secretary of the provincial party committee applauded the movement’s achievements and steered the society leaders to well implement instructions and policies of agricultural development in attachment to scientific application in an attempt to help farmers create products for the society.
On this occasion, the provincial People’s Committee granted merit certificates to 19 collectives and 150 individuals of the society while 20 workgroups and 100 individuals received merit certificates from the society.
