Early November 21, Tran Thi Kim Lan, Vice-Chairwoman of Binh Duong province’s Fatherland Front Committee (FFC) led a delegation to visit and support VND500million for flood-hit people in the central province of Phu Yen, helping them soon overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives.
Luong Mong Sanh, Chairman of Phu Yen province’s FFC said that recent heavy rains and flooding in the central province left 7 dead and damaged 125 houses. About 23,825 fowls and cattle together with 2,000 lobster cages were swept away while 815 tons of reserve rice and 115 hectares of paddy were destroyed…with an estimated loss of around VND325billion.
The same day, the delegation also visited, donated money and gifts as relief aid to flood victims in Tay Hoa district’s Hoa Thinh commune and Son Hoa district’s Son Hoi commune in Phu Yen province. They are two communes with the rate of poor households at 10%-15% and were hardest hit by recent floods in the central province.
