Early February 27, provincial Department of Health held a ceremony to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors’ Day (February 27, 1955 – February 27, 2025). The event was attended by Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation; Nguyen Loc Ha, Perament Vice Secretary of provincial Party Committee; Vo Van Minh, Vice Secretary of provincial Party Committee and Chairman of provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Van Loc, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee and Chairman of provincial People’s Council, along with other members of provincial Party Standing Committee, leaders of provincial departments, agencies and organizations.

At the ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Hong Chuong, Director of provincial Department of Health stated that over the past time, the province's healthcare sector has continuously grown, making significant contributions to public healthcare. With strong support from the province, grassroots healthcare has been steadily developing in all aspects while provincial hospitals have mastered many advanced medical technologies and techniques at national and international levels. Many doctors in the province's health sector have affirmed their names domestically and on the world map through awards, including the National Golden Hands Award, stroke treatment award from the World Stroke Association...
Speaking at the ceremony, provincial People's Committee Chairman Vo Van Minh acknowledged and commended the dedicated contributions and achievements of generations of healthcare officials and staff in the province. He highlighted that in 2024, provincial General Hospital, under the leadership of Assoc.Prof. Dr. Nguyen Lan Hieu and building upon the inheritance of previous generations, obtained remarkable medical achievements, making it a standout in the region’s healthcare sector. He urged the healthcare sector to continue prioritizing medical ethics, ensuring that every doctor and healthcare worker truly embodies the role of a "affectionate mother” for people. He also emphasized the need to accelerate digital transformation, enhance the application of digital technologies and strengthen the management of private healthcare services while encouraging and attracting investment in high-quality general and specialized hospitals as well as top-tier medical facilities in the province. At the ceremony, under the authorization of the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, provincial leaders presented the title of "Outstanding Physician" to one individual and awarded the Third-Class Labor Medal to three outstanding individuals. Additionally, the Government's Emulation Flag was awarded to the Department of Health’s Testing Center for its outstanding achievements in the 2023 emulation movement. On this occasion, healthcare officials, civil servants, public employees and workers in the sector contributed a day's salary, donating VND 100 million to provincial Fund for the Poor.
