Over the past time, provincial Job Placement Center was seen as a reliable address for thousands of women, helping them rise up out of poverty. Also from this address, many women found out new ways to escape poverty and even get rich.
Vocational training diversified
Over the past time, provincial Job Placement Center made efforts and obtained a lot of results in giving vocational training and creating jobs for women, supporting them to build up happy families and making social charity activities.
Under the Government’s Project 295 on “Supporting women in vocational training and job creation for the 2010-2015 period”, the center opened 30 classes on cooking for party with 603 participants. The center also coordinated with the Divisions of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs at all levels to organize 26 vocational training classes for 720 learners; gave school fee reduction for nearly 1,000 laborers on great holidays; took part in the “Festival for Reunion” program, the “National Workers’ Month and provincial Workers’ Week” with practical activities such as vocational consultancy for laborers, free haircut for poor laborers, pupils…
Thanks to the attention and help of the center, An Son commune’s cooperative group “Cooking for party” in Thuan An town, which was established in May 2014, with 22 members has so far worked effectively. The group has helped many women get jobs, increasing their incomes. Its prestige has also been raised with more orders.
Towards new cooperative models
To Nguyen Anh Thi, Director of provincial Job Placement Center said that over the past five years, under the direct leadership of provincial Women’s Union, the center reaped encouraging results. But, the center has still faced shortcomings in job creation and vocational training for rural laborers because of the lack of support policies.
The center’s task of vocational training for laborers in the remote region of the province has also still met with difficulties. Meanwhile, as one of the country’s top localities in industrial development, Binh Duong has created numerous jobs for rural laborers, including female ones. This also requires improvement of female laborers’ workmanship at national industrialization and modernization…
“In the period of 2016-2020, the center will concentrate on some main tasks, including giving vocational training in association with job creation after graduation, production models with sci-tech application; organizing on-site vocational training classes; establishing new-style cooperative models towards regional connectivity”, added Mrs.Thi.
