Provincial leaders attend opening ceremonies for new academic year at private schools

Early September 6, Viet Anh 3 Primary and Secondary School solemnly held its opening ceremony for the 2024-2025 academic year and inaugurated a building dedicated to the fully integrated curriculum of Ontario, Canada.

The ceremony was attended by Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the Central Party Committee and Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation; Nguyen Van Dong, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee and Secretary of Thu Dau Mot city’s Party Committee, along with representatives from various departments and agencies.

For the 2024-2025 school year, Viet Anh 3 Primary and Secondary School has 1,280 students in 60 classes from the first to 12th grades. This academic year marks a significant milestone as it is the first time the fully integrated curriculum of Ontario, Canada has been officially implemented. This modern educational model combines the Vietnamese education program with the standard curriculum of Ontario, Canada, offering students the opportunity to study in an international education environment locally, with globally recognized quality. On this occasion, provincial Study Promotion Association awarded 10 scholarships worth VND 5 million each from the local "Study Promotion and Talent Promotion" fund to 10 outstanding students at the school.

For the 2024-2025 academic year, Nguyen Khuyen Secondary and High School has more than 4,440 students. During the opening ceremony, the school welcomed new students, including 425 in the sixth grade  and 951 in the tenth grade.

During the opening ceremony, the school’s administration honored 81 exemplary 11th graders who scored between 7.0 and 8.0 on the IELTS exam in late June; 61 outstanding students who are new university students with entrance scores of 28 or higher, including 9 who ranked first in their examination categories in the province or at university entrance exams. Additionally, 10 students received scholarships worth VND 5 million each from provincial Study Promotion Association.

*Early September 6, Pétrus Ký Primary and Secondary School also held its opening ceremony for the 2024-2025 academic year, in attendance of Nguyen Loc Ha, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee and Vice Chairman of provincial People's Committee, along with representatives from departments, sectors and leaders of Thu Dau Mot city.

In the 2023-2024 school year, the school achieved a 100% student promotion rate, with all students graduating from both secondary and high schools. The rate of students admitted to university on their first-choice applications was 98.25%. Additionally, the school has achieved great success in training excellent students, nurturing talented students, and participating in teacher competitions, winning numerous awards at the city, provincial and national levels.

On this occasion, provincial Study Promotion Association awarded 10 "Giving strength to school" scholarships worth VND 5 million each from provincial "Study Promotion and Talent Promotion" fund to poor-but-excellent students. The school also awarded 25 scholarships to the sixth graders with outstanding academic results for five consecutive years with the English certificates from Flyer level or above, with a total value of nearly VND 148 million.
