Late January 1, Tran Van Nam, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee together with leaders of some sectors made an inspection tour of preparatory work for the upcoming Tet (Lunar New Year) festival in TDM city.
As planned, TDM city will present Tet gifts to 3,645 policy beneficiaries with a total value of more than VND799mln from the central State budget and donate nearly VND13.7bln as Tet aid for 10,059 policy beneficiaries from provincial State budget. It is expected that the People’s Committee of the city will provide the monthly allowance of nearly VND4bln for 7,135 poor people and workers living away from home. The city will also organize special art performances in celebration of the Party and Spring 2015.
During the inspection tour, Mr.Nam also suggested the city to attach special importance to traffic safety, fulfill a task of building and upgrading houses for policy beneficiaries ahead of December 20 of lunar calendar while being determined to solve beggardom on streets during Tet.

Speaking at the working session, Mr.Liem spoke highly of Thuan An town’s preparatory work for Tet. He also suggested leaders of the town to deliberate on visiting and presenting Tet gifts to targeted people exactly, sufficiently and opportunely; intensify a grasp of information regarding Tet bonuses for laborers in order to put forward support measures for those with difficulties; treat waste during Tet; ensure order and security for a safe Tet.
