Provincial leaders pay gift visit to the elderly

Early June 6, provincial leaders held delegations to visit, present gifts worth more than VND2.5million each to the local centenarians on the occasion of the traditional day of the Vietnamese Elderly. They were given greeting cards from the State President.

In TDM city, Vo Van Minh, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Council led a delegation to visit and offer gifts to 5 centenarians, namely Nguyen Thi Dau in Phu Loi ward, Tran Thi Van in Phu Cuong ward, Tran Thi Nhac in Hiep Thanh ward, Dang Thi Lai in Hiep An ward and Nguyen Thi By in Tuong Binh Hiep ward.

On behalf of the delegation, Mr.Minh thanked these centenarians and their families for their contributions to the homeland while wanting them to keep their health and continue being bright examples for young generations to follow.

*The same day, a delegation of provincial leaders, headed by Nguyen Van Loc, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee also visited and offered gifts to 3 centenarians in Tan Uyen town, namely Cao Tan Kinh in Bach Dang commune, Nguyen Van Dieu in Thai Hoa ward and Tran Van Nho in Vinh Tan commune.

On behalf of provincial leaders, Mr.Loc wished these centenarians good health while wanting that they will continue being the moral support of descendants.

*In Dau Tieng district, Dang Minh Hung, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee led a delegation to visit and give gifts to 2 centenarians, namely Le Thi Dung in Thanh An commune and Nguyen Thi Cuc in Long Hoa commune.

It is known that on this occasion, the province organized delegations to visit and present gifts worth more than VND53million to 21 centenarians.
