On the afternoon of May 16, Choi Youngsam, Korean Ambassador to Vietnam paid a courtesy visit to Binh Duong on the occasion of attending the "Meet Korea 2024” event in the province. Mai Hung Dung, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Van Loc, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Council; Nguyen Thi My Hang, Chairwoman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee received the delegation.
At the reception, Mr. Dung said that over the past time, Vietnam - Korea relations reached great development in all fields, bringing common benefits to the two countries. Binh Duong province also established friendly cooperative relations with Daejeon city in 2005 and Seoul’s Gangnam district in 2022. Ben Cat city, Thu Dau Mot city have signed cooperation agreements with Busan city’s Yeongdo district and Siheung city in 2024. Di An city has also just signed a cooperation agreement with Seoul’s Seo Daemun district…
Mr. Dung thanked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of Korea in Vietnam for choosing Binh Duong to host the “Meet Korea 2024” event while believing that the event will be successful. He also thanked Korean businesses for their positive contributions to the province's economic development results over the past time as well as contributions to the local social welfare activities.
Mr. Choi Youngsam said that along with Binh Duong's strategic location near Ho Chi Minh city, abundant and high-quality human resources, the province's dynamic and sharp leadership has brought about great achievements in the local development. He believed that the “Meet Korea 2024” event in Binh Duong will be successful, contributing to cultivating the relationship between Korea - Vietnam as well as between enterprises of the two countries.
