Morning August 14th, Mr. Mai Hung Dung, Vice Chairman of PPC, led the delegation to survey disaster prevention, search and rescue along Saigon River. Leaders of provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Military Command, Public Security and so on also took part in the delegation.

The delegation was reading the dike-planning map along Saigon River.
The delegation surveyed the condition of areas being vulnerable to landslides, flooding along Saigon River and through TDM city, Thuan An town, Ben Cat town, Dau Tieng district. In addition, the delegation had a working session to evaluate the preparation for disasters, searching and rescuing localities and people along Saigon River in order to plan for promptly responses to disasters.
Mr. Mai Hung Dung asked departments, agencies, sectors to set up flood prevention measures quickly and timely to minimize possible damages; repair and upgrade dykes in the province. In addition, he asked agencies to develop flood maps, conduct research to set up warning landmarks, especially in densely populated areas.
