Accordingly, the delegation visited and gave gifts for Vietnamese heroic mother Nguyen Thi Mua in Hiep An ward’s quarter 2 and three other centenarians, namely Nguyen Thi Buu in Chanh My commune’s Chanh Loc hamlet, Luu Thi Sau in Phu Hoa ward’s quarter 8 and Thai Tran in Phu Cuong ward’s quarter 8. Each centenarian was presented a gift worth VND300,000 plus VND1mln in cash.

Mr.Minh extended best regards to the above centenarians while encouraging them to continue being bright examples, especially uphold their role in propagandizing and mobilizing their descendants to well realize the Party and State’s policies and guidelines. He also suggested the local authorities at all levels to further pay more attention to taking care of the local elderly people’s spiritual and material lives.
The province is now home to 46 aged over 100 and 28 centenarians. Pham Thi Ruou, 108, of TDM city’s Phu My ward is the province’s oldest resident. Two people aged 107 in Dau Tieng district include Phan Thi Ngoc in Thanh Tuyen commune and Le Thi Tam in Minh Hoa commune. In TDM city, there are also 13 people aged over 100, 4 centenarians and 84 aged 90.
