Early April 17, provincial delegation, led by Vo Van Minh, Vice Secretary of provincial Party Committee and Chairman of provincial People’s Committee, visited and presented gifts to revolutionary contributors and handed over new houses as part of the 2025 campaign “Joining Hands to Eliminate Substandard Houses” in Di An city on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2025).

The delegation visited and presented gifts to several individuals and families, including People's Armed Forces Hero Nguyen Duc Nghia in An Binh ward; O Phuc Binh, former member of Thu Dau Mot Special Task Force in Dong Hoa ward and Labor Hero in the Renovation Period Huynh Thanh Son, former Director of Binh Duong Building Materials Company in Binh Thang ward.
In the visiting places, members of the delegation extended best regards to the families. On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Minh expressed deep gratitude to them and affirmed that current and future generations will always remember the great contributions of revolutionary families, heroic martyrs and wounded soldiers who sacrificed their youth and health to defend the nation’s independence.
Earlier, as part of the “Joining Hands to Eliminate Substandard Houses” campaign for 2025, the delegation attended a ceremony to hand over a new house to Tran Van Chau, residing in Di An ward’s Binh Minh quarter 2. The house was built with a total cost of VND 157 million, including VND 100 million from Di An city’s “For the Poor” Fund, VND 27 million from Di An ward and VND 30 million from social resources.
Speaking at the house handover ceremony, Mr. Minh shared that the construction and repair of houses for policy beneficiaries, contributors, poor and near-poor households is being urgently implemented across the province, in line with the set schedule. The collective effort of sectors and organizations such as the Red Cross Society, Women’s Union, Youth Union as well as officials, public servants and armed forces, together with socially mobilized resources, has meaningfully contributed to fulfilling the task of eliminating substandard houses, as launched by the Prime Minister.
